Outing to the lovely Titahi Bay Beach
A large group of our members spent a lovely afternoon on September 15 learning more about coastal plantings. We began by checking out the mural we had commissioned on the electricity box at the end of Toms and Tireti Roads. Some new members were not familiar with it. Then on to Marie wright's inspirational garden which shows what beauty can be created with careful planting of succulents and other hardy plants. Marie led a walk around the surf club building where she has created, and maintained perfect coastal gardens. Our second garden was Jim and Margaret Dietrich's on Beach Road. There was a different vista every time you turned a corner. And then the afternoon tea was a delight to behold and taste!!
