

Titahi Bay Beach Festival wins Rising Star Award
Last night at the Wellington International Airport Regional Community Awards, The Titahi Bay Beach Festival took out the coveted Rising Star Award. Congratulations to the team which organised such an amazing Beach Festival in February this year, with so many community groups involved. The Titahi Bay Horticultural Society is proud to be part of this group.


Titahi Bay Horticultural Society welcomes new Patron - Mike Tana Mayor of Porirua
Titahi Bay Horticultural Society are delighted to announce that we have a new Patron - Porirua Mayor Mike Tana. Mike Tana was elected Mayor of Porirua in October 2016. Prior to becoming mayor he was President of the 62,000-member Public Service Association, while carrying out his ‘day-job’ as a senior biosecurity adviser for the Ministry of Primary Industries. He holds a Bachelor of Agriculture Science, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Māori Resource Development, from Massey Un


Highlights from our July Meeting
Our July meeting featured an excellent speaker - Brian Clifford from Integrated Pest Management talking about pests in the house. This was both informative and witty. We had the usual garden specimen competitions with lots of exhibits, there was a raffle of a large bag of cocoa husks and a necklace, a great sales table followed by supper.
